Cookie Policy

1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites store in your browser to remember information, such as preferences or activity. Some services also use similar technologies like local storage, which work in a similar way.
2. Cookies we use directly
This site itself only stores one thing in your browser, using local storage (not a traditional cookie, but similar in purpose): your choice from the cookie consent banner (accepted/declined), so we don't ask you every time you visit. No personal data is included.
3. Cookies from embedded content
When you tap "Watch My Review" on a product, we load a YouTube video player directly from YouTube. At that point, YouTube/Google may set their own cookies to run the player, remember playback settings, and — depending on your Google account/ad settings — personalize content or ads. We don't control these cookies; they're governed by Google's Cookie Policy. Videos are never loaded automatically — only when you choose to play one.
4. Google Analytics
We use, or plan to use, Google Analytics to understand overall site traffic (e.g. which product pages get the most visits). This helps us know which reviews are useful to readers. Google Analytics only runs if you click "Accept" on our cookie banner — if you click "Decline," it stays off. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer.
5. Google Fonts
This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. Loading a font involves your browser making a request to Google's servers (which includes your IP address), similar to loading any image from an external site. This happens regardless of cookie consent, since it's needed for the page to display correctly, but no cookie is set by this specifically.
6. Managing your preference
You can change your cookie choice any time via the "Cookie Settings" link in the site footer. You can also block or delete cookies directly in your browser settings — note that this may affect how embedded videos or other features behave.
