How to install Classic menu Indicator in Ubuntu 12.04
Ubuntu 12.04 comes with unity as default desktop environment. Ofcourse there are plenty of choice for Linux user. You can always install KDE, XFDE, RAZOR-QT, or any other desktop environment that you need. But in case if you like to stick with unity but want classic gnome menu back you can do it with installation of classic menu indicator. Classic menu indicator gives you another option to quickly navigate and find your favorite application in menu. It doesn’t affect your Ubuntu Unity Desktop. Before starting make sure you’re are using Ubuntu 12.04 or any Ubuntu version that has unity. I have tested this with Ubuntu 12.04.
The following code will add the menu in your Ubuntu desktop. Make sure to restart your computer after the completion of installation.

To begin your installation Open your terminal Press CTRL+ALT+T and run the following command line by line. The following command will add classical menu repository to your computer and will add classical menu indicator after running install command.
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:diesch/testing
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install classicmenu-indicator
Note: You will see indicator at top panel like shown in screenshot above after the restart of your computer.
