The PlayStation Portable has got to be the most popular and wide spread gaming device there is in the world. Why not? The name of the device speaks for its self already and that is it’s a PlayStation Portable meaning you can bring it anywhere with you and play with it anytime you want. PSP is so popular that almost everyone owns one, whether you’re a boy or girl, teenager or you’re in your mid years  it is quite normal or acceptable to have a PSP. The latest models of the PSP actually works like a computer because it has a memory stick duos for handling different files, like music, movies and games. But PSP is of course popular and attracted a lot of people because of the advanced gaming experience it offers to its users. With this comes a vast variety of games to put or play with your PSP.

Here are some easy steps to help you transfer your games to your PSP.

There are two ways to install games on you PSP:

Buying the original UMDs and insert it into your PSP is the first and most recommended way to enjoy your games.

The second way is hacking you PSP by installing custom firmware on you PSP. This is how you install downloaded games from the internet and put them to your PSP memory stick.  The format of these games should be in ISO/CSO format.

How to play games ISO/CSO on PSP

  1. Install the custom Firmware on your PSP.  There are a lot of tutorials on the net on how to install Firmware
  2. Download your favorite and desired PSP game (ISO/CSO) on the net once you’ve successfully installed the custom firmware on your PSP . Make sure to extract ISO/CSO using WinRAR if the downloaded game is in a zip file.
  3. Step 3, using you data cable connect your PSP to your computer then got to Settings> USB Connection . Click on the memory stick and got to ISO folder. You can create and ISO folder is there is none and be sure to name the folder in Caps ISO not iso. Then copy your downloaded PSP Game ISO/CSO file to the folder. After this you can now disconnect your PSP from your computer.
  4. Now this is the configuration part.
    • Turn off your PSP completely by holding the power button for 7 seconds. Press down the R button and turn on your PSP to boot it into Recovery Mode.
    • After this make the following changes by going to Configuration
      • Game folder hombrew( currently:5.xx Kernel)
      • UMD mode (currently: M33 driver-NO UMD-)
    •   Then go back to the Main Menu  go to Advance> Advance Configuration.
      • Enable Plain modules in UMD/ISO
      • Disable “Execute BOOT.BIN in UMD/ISO”
    • After doing this go back to the Main Menu and select EXIT and you PSP will Reboot and turn back ON again.
  5. The last and final step is from the PSP home Menu go to Game> Memory Stick then play the game (ISO.CSO) on Custom firmware
