When I was still a teenager, Emo music wasn’t really as popular as it is now. So I’ve really never asked myself or anyone How to be emo. Now that I’ve been tasked to write about this topic, I was totally clueless. I had no choice but to consult my bestfriend – Mr. Google. And below are his suggestions to be called an emo

1. Learn an instrument or at least buy one instrument.

2. Listen to sad and screaming bands like Dashboard Confessional and Typecast.

3  Dye your hair – It should be very black  and add in strikes of different neon colour.

4. Dress Emo – Only wear black, wear shirts with logos of emo bands.

5. Dont forget the Eyeliner. It’s your goal to look as if you’ve just been punched in the eye.

6. Be sensitive and quiet.

7. Be an introvert.

8. Don’t be concerned about other’s opinion.

9. Be EMOtional.
