You’re single and something unexpected happened, you got pregnant after you and your boyfriend spent some time in your favorite vacation spot. If it wasn’t outside marriage, you would’ve rushed home just to tell your parents about it, but unfortunately it was. Now you’re scared and you don’t know what to do and you’re wondering how to tell your parents you’re pregnant.

The first thing you should do before telling your parents your pregnant is to get ready with their initial reactions, mention that I used the term “initial”. It’s because most probably, they would be upset and disappointed with what just had happened but sooner or later, they will be able to accept your situation.

Second thing that you should make sure of is to talk to them in private so that just in case they don’t take the news very well no one will be there to witness your parents yelling at you for what just happened.

You should also try to ask someone to assist you in delivering the news, like a sibling or a close relative. Another thing you can do is to talk to someone  who was already in your present position because they should know better. You also might want to ask them about the very early symptons of pregnancy.
