Now that you’ve just found out that you’re pregnant, it’s either you are so happy and excited about it that you’ve texted most of your friends to let them know, OR you’re so afraid because it’s unwanted and you don’t know how to say it to your parents, especially to your father. Whatever the case is, I will talk about the pregnancy stages to help you prepare for what’s coming in the next 8 or 9 months.
The three stages of pregnancy
A pregnancy is divided into three trimesters and each has more or less 3 months. In the first trimester of a pregnancy, you will experience many early symptons of pregnancy such as vomiting and nausea which is commonly knownas morning sickness, fatigue, mood swings, weight gain, irritability, breast tenderness and of course missed menstrual periods.
It is in this stage that the embryo becomes a fetus and develops organ systems. On the first month, the hearbeat will begin, arm buds will appear, digestive system starts to develop. On the 2nd week the face will start to form, brain, kidney, liver and digestive are developing and on third week of this pregnancy stage, the movement of the fetus begins, such as head turning and sucking.
On second trimester which is the 2nd stage of pregnancy, if you are conscious about your weight, you wouldn’t like this because normally you’ll be gaining one pound per week or about 3 or 4 months per month in this pregnancy stage . Although you may find that the morning sickness and fatigue are slowly going away, you’ll probably have pain in your abdomen, thighs, groin and back.

You’ll also notice skin changes specially on your face, breath shortness and itching on your palms, abdomen and soles of the feet. You’ll nipples may also begin to get darker and your breast will have colostrum (pre-milk).
It is in this pregnancy stage that the strong heart beat of your future baby will begin and body hair develops. The fetus will grow haid and eyebrows, fingers and toe nails will form and movements become more powerful. On the 3rd week of this pregnancy stage, eyes are already open and skin is wrinkled but the fetus still appears very thin.
On the final stage of pregnancy, you’ll probably be so excited about giving birth but there are things that you will normally experience first, like backache, heartburn, the need to urinate frequently, painless contractions of the uterus and shortness of breath.
Your soon to be born baby, on the other hand will begin to build skeletion, stores iron, his eyes open and close. The wrinkles will also be less pronounced.
For more information about pregnancy stages and the healthy things that you can do while you’re pregnant, consult your doctor, not some blogger guy, ok? lol. Happy weekend!
