Why call center agents love the U.S. Memorial day
Written by scant on May 25th, 2009Monday, first “night” of work. Eastwood City is crowded with business people and call center agents again. I was expecting it to be a normal Monday wherein we would be getting around 15-20 calls for the entire shift but my officemates reminded me that it’s Memorial Day in the U.S. so most businesses are closed.
So far after 4 hours, I still haven’t answered a single phone call yet. Thank God for the Memorial day. It’s petiksmode tonight.

Memorial Day is a United States federal holiday observed on the last Monday of May (May 25 in 2009). Formerly known as Decoration Day, it commemorates U.S. men and women who died while in the military service. First enacted to honor Union soldiers of the American Civil War (it is celebrated near the day of reunification after the civil war), it was expanded after World War I to include American casualties of any war or military action.
